Directed by Paddy Considine. Joseph (Peter Mullan) is a lonely and violent alcoholic. No matter how hard he tries he cannot escape from his dark past and uncontrollable rage. But things start to look up when he begins an unlikely friendship with Hannah (Olivia Colman), a kind hearted charity worker. Joseph's life finally has meaning and he is able to feel close to someone. But Joseph's new life is threatened when Hannah reveals a secret about herself. Very strong language, violent abuse of humans and animals.
